Debt outstanding and issued by Texas state agencies and local governments, as reported to BRB: every issuer and every bond issue in BRB's published tables and, where reported, what each issue cost to sell. BRB's local table leaves out obligations under one year, conduit debt and special obligations that need no Attorney General approval.
Texas cities, counties, school districts and other local governments had $365.5 billion of debt outstanding at the end of fiscal year 2025, according to the Bond Review Board's Data Center.
