Open Records Policy
How to see or copy BRB's public records, what it costs and where to send a request.
Our policy
The Texas Bond Review Board intends to give access to all public records quickly.
BRB keeps all records at its offices at 300 West 15th Street, Room 409, Austin, Texas. You can see records or get copies at these offices.
Staff will help with file research and retrieval, copying, or computer research, as appropriate.
BRB treats all requests equally.
Costs
Anyone who asks for copies of BRB public records pays the rates set by Texas Administrative Code rule 70.3, Charges for Providing Copies of Public Information.
The Executive Director may waive charges at his or her discretion.
Rule, 34 TAC 181.12: BRB may ask for a deposit when charges are over $200.
- external RULE 70.3
Looking at records instead of copying
If you ask to inspect records instead of getting copies, access is by appointment only. It takes place during BRB's regular business hours and is at the Executive Director's discretion.
BRB will not make confidential documents available for examination or copying except under a court order or other directive.
How to ask
The Executive Director or a designee reviews every open records request before agency staff release the information.
Send open records requests to openrecords@brb.texas.gov.
