How BRB sets meeting dates

The dates follow the schedule below. The Board can change them at its discretion.

BRB staff prepared a schedule of the important dates in Texas Government Code 1372 and Texas Administrative Code 181 and 190.

  • Notice of Intent to Issue State Debt: unless exempt, due no later than 12 business days before a regularly scheduled planning session.
  • Application for Board Approval of State Debt Issuance: due no later than 10 business days before a regularly scheduled planning session.
  • Planning Session: held on or before the second Tuesday of alternate months.
  • Board Meeting: held on the Thursday following the third Tuesday of alternate months.

Called meetings

Section 181.4 of the BRB rules says the Chair may call additional meetings of the Board. The Chair files notice of meetings as Chapter 551 of the Government Code requires. The Chair also gives timely notice to Board members.
