PAB Program Year 2027

Dates, forms and filing rules for the 2027 program year, which opens for applications on October 5, 2026.

Notices

The deadline to submit a 2027 PAB Application for the 2027 PAB Lottery is 5:00 PM (CST) on October 20, 2026. BRB does not consider applications received after that time for the lottery.

BRB accepts PAB filings by email at brbpab@brb.texas.gov.

The last day to receive a reservation for the 2027 Program Year is 5:00 PM (CST) on November 15, 2027.

Important dates

BRB staff prepared a schedule of the important dates in Texas Government Code 1372 and Texas Administrative Code 190.

The schedule is a courtesy document. It does not override the rules or the statute. If the schedule and the rules or statute conflict, the rules and statute control.

BRB encourages applicants to learn the rules and statute, to get guidance from their bond issuer or bond counsel, and to talk to their own counsel before they proceed.

Results

Under Texas Government Code 1372.027, the Board publishes weekly updates on the status of the Private Activity Bond Program. The updates cover the availability of the state's ceiling, reservations issued, and closings and allocations issued.

Once the 2027 Program Year starts, BRB will post a link to the most recent program status update.

Lottery

The 2027 PAB Lottery will be held in early to mid-November, as TAC 190.2(b) authorizes.

Once they are available, BRB will post the Lottery Application Processing report, the Original Lottery results, the Reordering Guide and the Shifting Guide.

The Reordering Guide accounts for the Residential Rental priority system before June 1st. The Shifting Guide accounts for it on and after June 1st.

How to file an application
